"By integrating our spirit and knowledge, we’ve come to realize that massage is not only a skilled and compassionate profession, but a journey of the heart and mind."

Jeannette Cunniff is the Founder and Director of Global Touch Healthcare Education (a Continuing Education Provider for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). She was the founder and owner of Lake Tahoe Massage School, a 500-Hour California State and NCBTMB Approved School, and holds an instructor’s approval from CA State Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Vocational Education and a National Certification Instructor Approval for Continuing Education.

She specializes in accredited vocational education for the massage practitioner, nurse/medical provider, care-giver, physical therapist and esthetician.

Several classes are open to students without any prior background in order for them to have the opportunity to experience the massage field.

She has assisted hundreds of people with their injuries by creating individual treatment plans and using techniques of her own design. She is available for consultation and treatment on a limited basis. Her goal is to assist the client "back on their feet" so they do not need to rely on massage therapy for pain management, but choose to add massage therapy for quality of life purpose, preventive health measure and the comfort that a "sensitive touch" offers. By integrating treatment modalities specifically suited to individual client needs, the therapist has the opportunity to experience the sensitivity, awareness and intuitiveness necessary in addressing injuries and touch their clients on profound levels.

In 1999, Jeannette built Seasons Spa, which provided the graduating student a place of working transition in order to build clientele, fine-tune their skills and have the experience of working in a professional spa environment with an instructor on staff.

In 2000, she was contracted to teach Hot Stone and Sports Massage for Sole Spa in the British Virgin Islands. She fell in love with the warm waters of the Caribbean and commissioned on for the winter season as a Massage Therapist and Esthetician for Richard Bransons, Necker Island (Virgin Airways). When she returned from the Caribbean, she formed Global Touch Institute, developing programs for hospitals, schools, spas and retreats centers. Since that time, she has traveled, worked, trained and instructed programs in Hawaii, New Zealand, Thailand, Bali, Caribbean, Costa Rica and the West Coast, U.S. She has had the pleasure of graduating more than 2000+ students and training 20+ instructors in the field of massage therapy.

From 2001 - 2003, Jeannette often appeared on "Another Heavenly Morning" television show sponsored by Heavenly Ski Resort, demonstrating hands-on massage/rehabilitation techniques and preventive injury tips geared toward the skier and snow boarder.

Jeannette was recognized in 2005 by the Medical Massage Accreditation Board for providing superior Sports and Medical Massage curriculum development and education.

By integrating Anatomy/Physiology/Kinesiology, Sports, Deep Connective Tissue Release, Craniosacral and Medically-Related massage approaches, Jeannette has developed more than 200 hours of specific injury seminars which are approved by NCBTMB. She has worked with "Discovery USA," an Olympic Development Committee, providing consultation, treatment and rehabilitation to runners.

In 2007, she was chosen by the Anaheim Police Department as the City Massage Examiner to redesign and implement new testing protocol and procedures for massage licensing. Originally, she accepted the position, but soon realized that the commitment would take her out of the classroom and away from her passion of teaching, where she could better serve the massage student and community.

In January 2008, Jeannette was commissioned to develop curriculum and teach courses for Universal Companies in Virginia, an internationally known provider of advanced education, product and supplies for the massage therapist and esthetician.

The author of five training manuals, her curriculum is now offered in two colleges in Southern California. Her unique and dynamic teaching approach incorporates the IM (Intelligence Mode) which encompasses all individual learning styles.

Through individualized attention, integrity and humor, students have the opportunity to experience the joys of learning and use that knowledge as a catalyst for personal transformation.

In 1988, Jeannette quit her corporate job as a Telecommunications Manager and backpacked from Mexico to Canada, 2612 miles, on the Pacific Crest Trail. The journey took 6 months and the experience changed her life, leading her to the massage therapy field.

As a sailor, boogey boarder and wanna-be surfer, she happily makes her home in Huntington Beach, California.
